I just found out that I am spending all day tomorrow and part of today at Texas Children's with Emmi. She hasn't been eating (part of her metabolic disorder) so she needs levels checked. And now she is having problems with her implant. Obviously, I don't deal first hand with a chronic illness, but I get a pretty good secondhand look with Emmi. So I know how it feels to never know when it will hit you. I feel like even on good days, I am holding my breath and never really relaxed.

Parents, we should not stack our grown children on Facebook! I am on it to see what my friends of long standing are all up to! And to see my precious grandchildren's pictures and to try to stay up with the times! It is important not to get old even if we ARE old! Old is a state of mind in many ways........come on Dad,,,,,,,,,,we can't do that or we will miss out on all the fun.

An email? Really? Is he fifteen? I think that alone proves he is not quality. In a few months, when you are over the heartache, you will be glad you got away from a guy like that.

However, until then, breakups hurt. Even if you can look at the facts and see that, perhaps, he wasn't the best person in the long run. Obviously, you had some good times in six months, and it sounds like you anticipated much more. Right now, it probably is a much about losing the future as the past.

Call me if you need me. Or need a distraction.
